Summary

During 1980s, many Vietnamese left Vietnam under ODP and the Release and Resettlement of Vietnamese Political Prisoners programs. This program allowed to reunion of political prisoners with their families in the United States and elsewhere in the free world. They used the aluminum boxes to carry their belonging when they left Vietnam.

Physical Description

The aluminum travel cases were handmade with four spinner wheels, rectangular-shaped, a lid and hinged to the back housing part. The name of the traveler and the destination address on front and back.
