The future museum will strive to foster transparency of the Vietnamese Refugee History. Vietnamese Heritage Museum presents an opportunity to transform the experience of the survivors of the Vietnamese Exoduses from the community to generations of Vietnamese Americans into a vehicle for preserving history and culture that has emerged even stronger through spirited resiliency. We would like to think that in the future, to design the structure that would be specific to museum use and accessible to all.
Education
VHM Education Center is dedicated to keeping alive the stories of the Vietnamese Refugee history and educational programs to encourage youth to learn about their ancestor experiences; the struggle and sacrifices for freedom, strive to overcome extreme difficulties in order for the younger generations to have a brighter future as it is today. This learning site presents an overview of the Vietnamese Refugee through historical photographs, images of artifacts, and testimony clips. It is a resource for students and teachers, with content that reflects the history as it is presented in the Vietnamese Heritage Museum’s Permanent Exhibition.
