Since April 2016, VHM has been hard at work to preserve and to honor the history and the legacy of the Vietnamese refugees overseas. The event took place on Sunday May 1, 2022, VHM’s exhibition; “A Reflection of Our Past”, at The Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California. The Gala was the signature event of the year for the Vietnamese Heritage Museum, gathering over 1,000 people from near and far. The inaugural event brought together public officials, donors, supporters, and guests for a memorable evening to celebrate and support the landmark project. They all agreed that the Vietnamese Heritage Museum is an essential project for Vietnamese communities and vitally collects artifacts and testimonies to preserve history for American and global patrons.
