Mr. Frank Snepp, a former CIA officer, offered a flag of the Republic of South Vietnam to The Vietnamese Heritage Museum. He has kept this flag since 1969 and brought it with him when he left the American Embassy in Saigon in 1975.
Vietnamese Heritage Museum hosted the Republic of South Vietnam Flag Transfer Ceremony, from Mr. Frank Snepp to Vietnamese Heritage Museum (October 20, 2019). This flag was formerly hung inside the US’s embassy in Saigon. After holding onto the flag for 44 year, Mr. Snepp entrusted VHM with his most prized possession, because he believed in VHM’s mission.
