In Remembrance<\/strong><\/h1>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”5″ divider_color=”extra-color-2″][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”10″][vc_column_text]After April 30, 1975, the sound of gunshots was no longer heard, but our homeland of Vietnam was still engulfed in terror. All the people faced a dark future. Under the orders of the Viet Cong government, thousands of soldiers from the Republic of Vietnam were sent to prisons, known as “re-education camps” that were scattered throughout the country. Among them, tens of thousands of people left and had no home to return. The wall commemorates the former Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) officers and soldiers who gave their heroic sacrifices in the Vietnam War and were killed in communist prisons.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>The “Boat People Memorial Wall” is intended to show that we will never forget our fellow countrymen. In addition, the next generation will learn to appreciate those who have sacrificed for their presence, to be able to live in today’s libertarian society. The Virtual Museum is the largest source of online content and experiences shared by Vietnamese Heritage Museum organizations. These online exhibits share the history, culture, science, and arts as well as the success of the Vietnamese Refugee People. They feature their fascinating stories and treasures from communities around the world. Literature Collection and Preservation is a project to collect mementos, books, pictures, video discs, audio recordings, and valuable materials for the Library and the Center for Vietnamese Refugee Studies. The future museum will strive to foster transparency of the Vietnamese Refugee History. Vietnamese Heritage Museum presents an opportunity to transform the experience of the survivors of the Vietnamese Exoduses from the community to generations of Vietnamese Americans into a vehicle for preserving history and culture that has emerged even stronger through spirited resiliency.
